Now by no means do we tolerate grandstanding in the Nelson home, but Covey discovered a little something about himself the other day that he really wanted us to blog about. Of course, we as parents aren't at all surprised that Cov came into this world with innate abilities, especially since talent runs in his bloodline. Julia is well known back in Riverdale for her skills with the soft-serve dispenser at Golden Swirl, and me, well, let's just say there's only one alumni of Mountain View Elementary that can lay claim to the starring role of Chris Moose in Mrs. Gilbert's 4th grade Christmas play back in 1989. Nuff said.

After the video I imagined the conversation you had with Covey.
Matt: Covey I am sorry but it was just fun and games.
Covey: Dad I am telling you I could fly around this room with my eyes closed.
Matt: Alright then Mr. Lightbeer. PROVE IT!
Covey: (After successfully flying and pointing a finger in Matt's face) CAN!
I think I have watched that show one too many times with Mitchers.
That little Covey is too darn cute! And as far as Nick goes I think like you he lays awake at night thinking of these funny comments! Thats okay I am grateful for you for getting all of his lame jokes out of him so I don't have to listen to it! J/K haha lol titdf (those are for lori)
You guys are hilarious! I love reading your blog, you always make me laugh. Covey is adorable, you guys are gonna do great at parenting with your sense of humor, your kids will love it!
Spot on Nick! I should have dubbed that dialogue into the movie somewhere. Where were you last night when I put this thing together? Next time I should consult you I guess. Have fun at the semi-annual Meldrum Munchin Luncheon/softball slugfest, I'll miss it while I'm here working for the man.
