Covey has been talking about sleeping in a tent for a while now so we planned to go camping Friday night. But we heard it was going to be pretty cold so we set up the tent in the backyard instead.
A couple of friends stopped by for smores (on the grill). Covey and Ben had a great time in the tent and sneaking licorice, rootbeer, marshmallows and grahams as much as they could.

I bought Covey a new little Lightening Mcqueen car at the grocery store because he's lost the other 2 (Matt says 3) we've gotten him. He wouldn't let go of it and took his nap with it and of course it slept in the tent with us!
One day while Grandpa Mike was over playing, Covey was munching on this apple and said "Need bib" and went into the kitchen and pulled down this towel and placed it on his shirt. We thought it was kinda funny.
Back in May, we joined Matt's family up at the Mantua Girl's Home. Covey played with this ball most of the time and loved Uncle Adam's bear story during the campfire.
Matt's little brother Jon received his endowments at the Bountiful temple. He's leaving on his mission soon to Spokane Washington!

My sister, Katie was nice enough to watch Covey for us while we were at the temple. Look how Covey is watching her with so much adoration. He was even calling her mommy while I was gone! ... not sure how I feel about that.

This was a chilly picnic we took one day when Matt got out of school. There were lots of cute birds that we fed the too-floury-parts of our banana bread to.
That's got to be it for now... Covey's pulling on my leg saying "Ready to go!" which means he wants to get outta here! More fun things ahead.... Faye's fundraisers and going to Texas!!

Most excellent post. Gotta say I am really digging the new background. Super festive. I know you have had your problems with it but I just flippin love your backyard. Can you give me the name of the guy that designed that?
Yay! That was so fun. We need to get together more. I sure do love that little Covington. I love that he and Ben are buds :-)
LOVE all of it! Cant wait for you guys to come to Texas...although I can assure you we are not quite as exciting as the stuff Covey gets to do at his house! I hope he still likes us!
The picture of you and Covey is so cute. You look gorgeous. Your diligence and attention to cleanliness are certainly paying off--he grabs his own bib and sits solemnly while eating his donut. My kids are like monkies who have just been unleashed from cages when Grandma brings donuts.
I love all of your pics, Covey's hair is getting dark! Matt, tell your little bro congrats on his mission call, that is exciting. We miss you guys, and would love to come camping in your backyard anytime (especially with smokes on the grill) :).
