July 2015

Saying good-bye to their first home.
Fortunately, they weren't really sad. That made things a lot easier. Matt had to work, so I packed up the last of our stuff, did the last of the cleaning and left with the boys. We needed somewhere to stay for the weekend until we could move into my grandma's basement. So, after dropping some things off at her house, the boys and I headed up to the Wolf Creek Resort in Eden. It was a fun weekend! The condo was great. The pool was amazing. We had a good time, even when we got yelled at by a golf course employee for following a deer onto the green. ;/

Our second day there, Matt had to work again, so Papa Mike came up to keep us company. He took us to lunch and a really great petting zoo. Their favorite part, of course, were the kitties!

Finn was a little afraid of the big ole piggies, but Covey went in and gave them a nice pet.

Gotta see those kitties again! This time, the worker let us take them out and hold them.

Poor grandpa had itchy eyes for days.

Also that weekend, Jonny and Briquel got sealed in the Logan temple!
The boys got to hang out with Aunt Debbie during the sealing.

Somehow I didn't even get a picture of Jonny and Briquel! :(
What I did get were plenty of pictures of the boys being cute together.

Getting a kiss

Wiping it off

Getting sniffed

Laughing about it

On the 4th of July, we headed to Huntsville's parade. It was a super cute parade! Not all political and commercial like Riverdale's, but with a lot of family-made floats. We loved it!

Here comes the flag!

After the parade, we headed to the park to go down the bouncy slides, play at the playground and eat snow cones while listening to a singing competition. It was fun, but super packed. Then, Matt got called into work, so we headed back to "the city" and the boys and I went to see Inside Out while Matt did his case. That night, we watched fireworks at Liberty.

The next day, we moved into Grandma Meldrum's basement. She is so kind and giving and let us stay there for almost 2 months. I had a great time getting to know her better and the boys loved talking to her each day, playing with her magnets, and going often to the park by her house.

Another day at the Curiosity Museum

Covey was so brave doing the ropes course! I was so proud!
He did awesome. At the very top, he froze and a worker had to help him get down, but it was understandable. He was so high up! He said, "Mom, I looked down and my legs just wouldn't move!"

Grandma told the boys they could pick her raspberries. I wasn't sure if they'd like them, but they did! Could I get Covey to eat raspberries normally? No. But something about picking them, makes them okay.

The next weekend, we headed to Twin Falls to find a house! We needed to get it done in 3 days, so we were really praying it work out. We spent the first day going around with a realtor and were not impressed with much. So, we decided to add on a house that I had previously taken off our list because it wasn't our style. After another day of looking and a night of prayer, we felt like Heavenly Father was telling us to take the one we had added back on our list. It wasn't new like we wanted, but the yard was beautiful! And it was the most house and yard for the money. We checked out the ward the next day and went by the house after church, negotiated and signed the contract!

One of our walks through Grandma's neighborhood.

The boys did a little weekly tumbling class in Riverdale with Lucie.

In Grandma's playroom

Exploring the trail at the park

It was during all our time at the park and walking the awesome trail here, that Covey really got the hang of riding his bike. He'd ride around the trail while Matt, Finn and I walked it. Then, they'd play at the playground until we heard "Taps" playing from Hill Air Force Base. We sorta fell in love with South Ogden during our time there.
We went to the 24th of July parade and park in Bear River City with Grandma, but I guess I didn't get any pictures. It was a lot of fun.

In August, we took a picnic lunch to Weber State and fed the ducks. Here they are following Finn everywhere he goes.
