August 2015

Covey, the king of the elderly condo community.

Girls' Night Out in Park City
Grandma Lori and Aunt Katie's girls

I sure made the rounds with selfies!
My cousin, Hailee, and her daughter Emberlyn

At dinner. I took this pic just for Finn. Look at those motorcycles, buddy!

I was a royal pain for the waitress. I kept sending food back that I didn't like and we'd try something else only to have me send it back again. Cool atmosphere does not equal cool food. Or was it my pregnant taste buds? The world may never know.

Me and my sweet Aunt Cristie

On a river walk in Riverdale with Papa Mike and Aunt Katie's fam.
Not sure if Finn's trying to fly or be a dolphin...?

At tumbling class. This was at the house of the math tutor I went to during Trigonometry in high school. By the end of class all the kids were eating the food she had growing in her garden.

That's his cousin, Lucie, next to him. Thank goodness she was in the same class. She was a big help when Finn felt overwhelmed or confused.

Covey recently learned how to play chess and is loving it. We heard about a chess club at my grandma's library and he got to go 3 times before we moved. He absolutely loved it. I think the older boys had to be a little patient with him because he insisted on being white (which gets to go first) every time. And Covey had to be patient as well, because he never did win a match, but he was the youngest and the newest to the game.
Here he is playing it cool against the coach.

At the dinosaur park with Papa Mike. Afterwards, he took us to eat at Rainbow Gardens.

Covey was in an arm-raising mood apparently.

Oh, sandboxes. What a love-hate relationship I have with you. While Finn has a love-love relationship with you.

Telling night time stories in their temporary bedroom at Grandma's house.

At 16 weeks, I had my midwife seal in an envelope what the gender of our baby was and I took it to a bakery. We just wanted to do something fun for the boys to help them get excited for the baby.
These were the names we knew we'd use if it was a boy or girl. The middle name, the one she'd go by, for the girl was still being discussed but we knew we'd carry on the tradition of having her first name be Julia.

My face is embarrassing, but MAN was I relieved and happy to see pink inside!

The cake was pretty gross but served its purpose. I was seriously one happy lady.

Our daughter's first gift was from my awesome friend, Amber. She actually gave us a bunch of stuff but these tiny little booties were my favorite!

A friendly game against Brock.

Or maybe not so friendly...

On one of our last days in Utah, I took the boys for a picnic at Weber State  and to feed the ducks.
Ducks (mainly the geese) are so aggressive these days! Finn got a little nervous at times.

They followed that boy wherever he went. That would be a little scary if a bird almost to my shoulders wouldn't leave me alone!

Matt, his dad, and our friends, Justin and Todd loaded up our storage units into a U-Haul and on August 21st, Matt drove it up to our new home in Twin Falls. Me and the boys followed behind.

The first morning waking up at our new home. The backyard was so beautiful and peaceful that's where we instantly headed to when we woke up.

Aww. My little Cov. Look at that gap in his smile! He had lost 2 more teeth while we stayed at Grandma's.

I have to document the beauty of it while I can, because after this season, it may never look like this again!

The moving crew has arrived! Thank you Emily, Kade, Jon, and Briquel!
Way to pitch in, Covey!

Trying to keep little Smith entertained.

Getting to know the friends across the street, Sophia and David.

David, that shirt looks familiar!

Watching the sunrise. Our backyard felt like a paradise.

And we didn't want to let that paradise turn to crap on our watch, so we hit the yard care quick and hard. (After buying a lawn mower, weed eater, tiller, and a bunch of other things we'd need.)
The boys are ready to help!

We also painted a ton! Every single room in the house needed a new color.
The boys' bedroom. From brown to light gray.

Our view walking out of church on Sunday! Our wardhouse is right behind the Twin Falls temple.

We also hit potty training hard, hence the underpants while grilling and playing football. But, he finally got the hang of it- thank goodness!
