Covey fell asleep while in time-out. It reminds me of pictures I have of myself asleep on the stairs.
For General Conference, we sent the boys on a scavenger hunt for Conference goodies. Clues took them around the house...
...and performing chores!
A clue was at the bottom!
And one in their room...
and under the Mac. I'm not sure what this one said, but it sure riled Covey up!
The last clue took them up to the Mayne's house where their little basket of goodies was waiting. President Monson was on the front saying, "Listen to the Prophet!"
Time for BASEBALL! Covey and Kayson were on the Redsocks with Coach Todd at the helm. This was their first practice and it was cooooold.
Matt had intended to be Assistant Coach and did help out with this first practice, but when games started, he just couldn't get there on time because of work. All the dads helped out, though, and it worked out great.
(Covey's on the left in blue. We had to add some layers.)
Batting practice!
Finn really wanted to be in on the action.
Finn's extreme handsomeness had to be documented this day.
First Game!
Kayson and Cov.
Aww. Telling secrets or something.
Getting a pep talk from Dad.
In his ready stance.
Up at bat!
Throughout the season, Covey usually hit from the coach's pitch, but a few times had to use a tee.
Which way you runnin', Cov? 'That way!' (Matt still in his scrubs, straight from work.)
Oh yeah! Got a hit this time!
On first: 'What number are you? I'm 4!"
On second: 'What number's on your shirt? Mine's 4!"
Games were during dinner time, so Covey was always looking for food when his team was up to bat.
Approval from Dad.
EASTER time!
Neighborhood Egg Hunt
Finn insisted on wearing his backpack, he calls it a "jet pack". And Covey insisted on bringing his cheetah.
The day before Easter, we went to Wellsville to celebrate Easter with Matt's family.
His sister, Emily, and her husband had been house-sitting this cool house while the owners were on their mission. It had a lot of fun stuff to play on!
And lots of hiding places for the eggs!
The bigger boys had to wait for Finn and Shaylee to get a fair start.
Covey, Jensen, Buck
Aunt Debbie stealing candy from a baby.
Trying out the zip line!
The Wellsville mountains.
Matt's been looking for land in Wellsville ever since.
With their great grandpa, Glen.
That much fun demands a couch nap.
EASTER Day!
Finding the hard boiled eggs inside the house.
Now, outside to find the candy-filled eggs and their baskets!
I think the Easter Bunny dropped something...
The Easter Bunny brought Finn this hat he calls a "cowboy hat".
All these eggs are making me crazy!
Covey got his first watch.
And his first gun.
Digging in to his chocolate bunny.
Off to church!
Papa Mike made it to a baseball game! What an awesome grandpa!
Grandpa helping Covey get in his batter's stance.
Finn sneaks in to get high 5s.
Watching some ball with his buddy, Everett.
A couple days before Finn's birthday, he got to celebrate it with Papa Mike.
Not sure what he wished for...
...but if it was for a giant Pooh Bear,
...and a Dusty Crophopper,
...and a Jake telescope, grandpa made his wishes come true!
April was also a month of getting things ready to put our house up for sale. We hadn't planned on trying to sell until next year, but after listening to some advice from Matt's older brother, Jason, we decided to give it a shot. We got a storage unit and took out a bunch of stuff. We cleaned and organized, bought a few decorating pieces and flowers, and had a yard sale. The house felt so much better afterward. I wished we had done that a long time ago.
At one of the games, Finn found a little girl about his size...
and taught her how to pull out grass.
Giving the other team a cheer at the end of the game.
And giving high 5s.

They should make a reality show called extreme handsomeness. Covey and Finn would be the first in for sure.
