January was a month of trying to get life all back together.
Here's a cute little boy using the bathroom stool as a lap desk for playing with his Thomas tugboat.
Finn loves oranges!
I love Covey's one-sided dimple!
The Meldrums decided to sneak attack us!
Instead of Stacey and Jay flying in for her grandpa's funeral, the whole family drove to Utah pretty much to see me. Things have mellowed down here, but we were all pretty ecstatic at the front door.
Is Covey a little creepy in these next two pictures? I can't decide. ...It's definitely borderline.
Reading Nixon 'Potty Time with Elmo'.
It's one of Finn's favorites!
Man! I love these guys!
And the've gotten so big! They're practically full grown humans.
There's a year age difference between these two, but they look so much closer in age than that! I hope they'll be close in friendship, too.
Sigh.
We had a pizza night at Grandma Lori's house to get us all together and see these guys another time while they were here.
Here, Matt's being introduced to Jay for the first time!
Finn just denied Grandma and ran straight to Uncle Nick.
Oh! I just love that baby Jay and all his chubs!
And for your viewing pleasure...
And to clean your palate...
This was my disappointing attempt at getting a pic of all the cousins together.
This was so cute! One day we got out the toy box for the day and it had this lion in it from Covey's first Christmas. They almost never play with it, but this day, Finn decided to make friends. He sat him on his lap and talked to him about the show that was on.
"See, Lion? It's 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. This is a good show. You'll like it."
Grandma Lori came to see the boys!
Covey insisted on her spending her time watching "baby movies" of the boys. They ask to watch them all the time these days! Their favorite is "Owl Boy". (Can be seen at the bottom of this page.)
More funny faces! (And their effect on glass doors.)
Covey came out of his Primary class with this picture he'd drawn.
He said, "It's Satan and I'm shooting him with a toot (aka "fart") gun!"
Matt and I were delighted! I especially like how it knocked Satan out and the big smile Covey has on his face doing it.
On the back side is some flowers around Jesus.
He's our artist lately. He was drawing minions every day for awhile and now it's tacodiles and cheese spiders. :)
Covey's also back in gymnastics for another 8 week round (like he did in the summer).
His favorite things to do there are jump in the foam pit and jump on the tramp.
This week was Superbowl theme and they got to throw footballs through this circle.
(We still don't know if Covey throws with his left or right. He switches all the time.)
Finn was dying to do it the whole time, so when class was over we let him run in and have at it.

Most excellent! Covey's mentorship of Nixon and reading Elmo's Potty Time must have done the trick cause once we got home that boy decided to be potty trained. Thanks Covey.
