Handsome Man!
At the Bees Game. So relaxing. I love going to these.
Covey LOVED Bumble. He told us the next morning that he dreamed about him.
Grandma Nelson holding her two newest grandbabies. Shaylee is 3 weeks older than Finn.
Covey's FIRST DAY of Preschool!
So excited to go into class! As soon as we walked in, I no longer existed. He was so focused on the new experience he didn't need my goodbye or reassurance or anything. He has 2 cute teachers, Miss Kami and Miss Mckenzie. He is learning so much: the sounds of all the letters, including long and short vowels, the pledge of allegiance, what pictures do not belong, how to write his name (still working on that but they practice it every day), and lots of new songs and imaginative play like crossing a bridge over alligators, camping under the stars, and visiting the Statue of Liberty.
This is a common sight. Finn's big-eyed reaction to Covey's in-your-faceness.
Trying on Covey's new sunglasses.
A visit from little ol' Lee.
He is such a smiley boy! It makes my heart so happy.
We went with our friends to their family cabin in Tabiona (never heard of it? us either). Here Covey participates in his first potato sack race. He also tried a 3-legged race that ended in about 3 seconds with him and Kayson in a heap.
At the Tabiona parade the next morning. Finn earned his right of passage as a tough guy after getting freezing water dumped on him by an unwitting teenager.
Those cute Larsons.
Covey even got to be in the parade and loved throwing prizes to the crowd!
Poor Finn. He's really not getting the life squeezed out of him... although he doesn't look all too happy either.
4th of July parade in Riverdale...
Matt and Covey's reaction to the amazing sounds of the Blue Knights Marching Band.
Getting candy!
Then to the splash pad to cool down... MUSCLES!
Finn just had his 2 month Dr visit. He's 12 lbs and 12 oz 73rd percentile and 24 inches long 83rd percentile. He is a GREAT baby. Eating and sleeping well. And like I said earlier, giving us that sweet smile all the time. We've even heard a couple little laughs! It is weird not being able to devote all my time to him like I was able to do with Covey. And it's weird not being able to give all my focus to Covey. I hope I figure it out soon! But, we're having a great summer (other than the voles infesting the neighborhood and 2 sets of friends moving out of the neighborhood). And we're looking forward to Matt's last day in the classroom on July 30th!! Yaaaaay!
