Covey Update

Covey is getting so big. It just amazes me every time I look at him and imagine the little baby he used to be, pick him up and remember how he used to be light as a feather, and when he jabber talks (I love when he does that!). I do wish he would stop being sick, though. It's Reee-diculous (mom, katie, and nick, you know how to say it) how long he's been sick. Two months with a 2 week break in the middle. Poor guy. He's spent almost the entire time being 6 and 7 months old with a croupy cough that wakes him up and a nose he can't breathe out of. But, you'd never know it by the pics below. He's a champ.

Holding his bottle on his own!

Covey thought this was hilarious.  Can you tell?

Learning to earn his keep.

He also is responding to his name really well and beginning to understand "no", I think. It doesn't do anything when I'm changing his diaper or clothes and he constantly is trying to roll over, sit up, and be held. (Which I just don't get, by the way. He has had his bum changed so many times every day of his life and now all of a sudden he can't stand it. ??) But when he's about to grab something he's not supposed to or trying to stand up in the tub and I say "NO", he almost always stops. It's awesome! He's also doing this scratchy motion with his hands on everything and loving playing with the springy door stops.  His hair is definitely filling in, which is awesome!  It's weird though, that it has come in a dark blonde.  That's the color I had (once I finally had hair).  I wonder if it'll stay that way or if Matt's dark hair will ever make a reappearance.

It's funny how some things are universal. I think all of my babies have fought the diaper change at that age and played with the boingy door stops. He's so cute.

Covey is so darn cute! Just so you know I dont think the kids ever get sick of those Disney stickers that get mailed out. He is getting too big, he needs to teach my kids how to do laundry...that would be a great help! Love that Covey!

Have you heard about those boxes from the post office that as long as you can fit whatever in the box you can ship it for one flat rate? Well I would be willing to pay the $10 for you to send him to us for a week or so. What a stud bucket!
I mean he is so studly it's ree-diculous!
