Covington is six months old today! He went to the doctor and he weighs 15 lbs. 2 oz. which puts him in the 11th percentile and he is 27 1/2 " long which puts him in the 85th percentile. The Dr. said I didn't have to, but if I want to add some extra calories and fat into his diet, I can add extra formula powder to his cereal (which I think I'll do) and olive oil to his vegetables (which I'm not too sure about). He also got 3 shots, which included a flu shot. The leg that got 2 shots bled like crazy, but he was brave.
He likes to play with his feet and suck on his toes. He's been using his "M"s and saying "mmmmmmm" when he's getting sleepy or bored. He also is very close to saying "mama" but is currently just at "maaaaaa". He's reaching his arms out to you when he wants to go to you and he's becoming quite the cuddler (which of course, I LOVE). He likes to go out into the backyard with dad and help him water, but you have to watch him cause he likes to rip the blossoms off the vines. He's so close to crawling, but for the time being, he just gets up on all fours and bobs forward and back. The other day he was playing pick-a-boo with us, by hiding his face behind the curtains and then laughing like crazy when he would pop out.
He is such a funny kid and we couldn't have asked for a better little boy.

Way to go Julia and Matt...I have Coveys biggest fan sitting on my lap already asking for more! That was so cute! Made me happy and sad all at the same time, I cannot believe he is six months already, but he is so darn cute! Love the video....I love that Covey!

Love this video, love...love...love this boy!!!
Too cute guys! He is such a darling little man!! Happy half birthday Covster!!
PS The video of Kays and Covey when he first came home is priceless! I cant believe how small they were!!
Wow, what a difference 3 weeks makes. Jackson is not close to any of those things, he has got some catching up to do:). He is going to start doing so many things now, you guys are going to be so busy...welcome to parenthood! His stats sound just like Hunter's. We missed you guys at the park, we will have to get the boys together and Covey can teach Jackson some new tricks.
This video made my day. I am sitting here feeling all bad for myself cause I feel sick and then Covey picks me right up. My 3 favorite things about the video were: 1-the flowers on your trumpetcreeper vines. 2- Telling jokes in his sleep that crack him up enough to laugh while sleeping. 3-The jumbly ball getting the better of him.
My favorite part is when he and Julia are looking at the camera, and if you watch closely, you'll see they're facial expressions are syncronized. I love that part!
Nick, I also like the footage of him soaking up whatever knowledge you're giving to him. The original clip is twice as long, and he never takes his eyes off of you the whole time.
I love how much you guys video tape. I try to get Mark to do it more; you think he would love to with all those redskin movies... maybe if I got Sadie to do something immature he would want to video more. Anyway, way cute movie. Mark wants to know where that first song is from. Oh and Sadie only weighs 19 lbs which puts her under 5% so they have us spoon feeding her butter and cream cheese.
How cute!! He looks just like me. I guess he ate carrots quite a while ago Julia and you were trying to pass it off as a first in your last post! You guys have a bike trailer? I'm jealous.
No, that was the first time he ate carrots, we've just done a lot of video taping since then. And the bike trailer (along with the bikes) were loaners from the well esteemed Larson family.
Oh, nevermind, I get it. He DID taste a carrot when he was 2 months old. You busted me!
Okay so Jackson is not the only cute baby, you have got yourself a little doll. You are adorable, getting everything on film..I wish we would have done that more, lucky kid, he will love it all when he gets older. Such a cutie!
