Who knows Amos Mayne, our next door neighbor? THIS baby does. And he has taken quite a shine to him. When Amos and Jessica were over for games one night, Finn only had eyes for Amos. And last Sunday in sacrament when Finn was fussy, could I calm him? No. But he reached and stretched toward Amos, so Amos obliged by taking him and we had one happy baby again!
Finn: 3 1/2 months old
Sweet sweet Brother Time.
Or is it??
Two weeks ago, Finn rolled over for the first time! He was laying on his back and used Hungry Hungry Hippos to pull himself over onto his belly. Clever baby.
Could he do it without the help of Covey's game? ...Yes! He did!
Covey had his first soccer game on Aug 25th. He is on Team Rain with his friend Kayson. I think he got a bit frustrated with the beehive of kids surrounding the ball and he definitely got hot and sweaty. But I do believe the sport is growing on him!
Listening to Assistant Coach Matt. Covey is number 8 there.
Isn't their field lovely?
Warming up with Coach Todd. Covey's on the far right.
With Kayson! (Who took a soccer ball right to the head when Covey threw it in from out-of-bounds:)
How Finn enjoyed the game.
Aforementioned hot and sweaty.
Now we get out of order... these are Covey's 3 year old pics that my mom took back in March, or April, I can't remember.
And these are Finn's newborn pics (2 weeks old) that she took. Love love love!
And here's some hospital pics that she took... SO much better than the ones we took and posted earlier.
Awww! This one's just too precious looking at Dad for the first time.
With his (middle) namesake.
During the Olympics, Covey wanted to enter the trampoline event. As Mickey, of course.
Here's the move that won Gold.
We took Covey to Park City and down the Alpine Slide for the first time. I think he loved it even though he said "Ohhh nooo" the whole way down.
Grandpa took him fishing for the first time. He had a blast. He caught his first fish, watched it flip around like mad, and decided feeding the fish was preferable.
Finn: 3 months old
Which smile is cuter? I couldn't decide!
This day, Finn was very into showing us his nice round tummy.
He loves holding his hands together.
And he likes to hug his elephant. (Remember that elephant, Mom? It's the one you put on top of Covey's diaper cake.)
Brigham City Temple Open House
Finn: 4 months old... trying out his new Bumbo.
We sure love it when he's naked! And that bum had to be documented.
And here he is participating in our "Pirate Night" last night.
Summer was great but we sure are looking forward to Fall now! Matt has started his clinical rotations. He's with Dr Tensmeyer in Layton all this semester. He is loving his time with him and learning so much more! And of course since Aggie season has begun, he's got a one-track mind.Covey will have more soccer games and practices along with "Running Club" on Fridays. He seems pretty determined to be a pumpkin for Halloween, despite my efforts to sway him otherwise. A boring old pumpkin. I'll have to tap into my very limited creativity to see if I can spruce it up somehow.
Finn just turned 4 months. His hair is starting to come in and he's "talking" a lot. He went to the Dr this morning and we got his stats: height 95th percentile and weight 53rd percentile. He's the exact same length Covey was at 4 months, but more than a pound heavier. (Remember, Covey didn't nurse well and even lost weight in his 5th month. So, YAY for a good eater!) He only cried for 2 seconds after his shots. He's amazing!
Oh, and ME, you ask? Well, I'm cutting my hair off today. I just bought a Blendtec and have been blending all sorts of nutritious creations for the family. Planning Relief Society lessons. Teaching Covey preschool. Zumba and jogging. Book Club. Trying to keep the house out of disarray. Just general craziness and fun.

Wow! What a glorious post. Amos might be #1 but I think I'm coming in a close second. Love that Finn! Love the look of sheer terror in pic #4. Mom's pics are great. I LOVE b&w one with Finn and Covey (and the censored one, of course). Covey seems to be showing a preference for poofy tummied Halloween costumes--maybe next year he can be the old lady in a bathrobe that Nick invented. A pumpkin will be super cute I think. Where is the two hour wrap-all-the-way around the block line when you went to the temple?? (I'll have to tell you about that!) Sounds like you are doing lots of fun stuff. I'm jealous of the blendtec!
So cute! Love all the photos!
3 words... love, love, love!!!
