Spring Fun

Just capturing some Sabbath handsomeness.
Waiting for Dad to come home from school on his 31st birthday. Covey sat up on the counter so he could see out the window and watch for Matt getting off the bus.
Matt requested his "mom's curry" for his bday dinner. I have no idea if this is how it was supposed to look or taste. I'm at a complete loss when it comes to cooking beef.
After dinner, it was off to take Covey on his first ever bowling experience.
Bowling shoes!

He was really liking it until he saw "the crazy room" which was the arcade room. Then that's all he wanted to do.
Back at home, Matt opened presents (new Pumas and a beard trimmer). Covey gave him tropical Dots and this Doggie card we made. He did all the glueing!

The next week we went and saw City Creek! It's amazing like everyone says. The only store we went in was the Disney store which was awesome. And Kneaders for dinner...mmmmm... my new favorite place! We got a bunch of pennies and Covey threw them in all the water he could find.

Then to see the temple!

Some of Finn's clothes drying on the line! (Sooo cute!)
Covey had 5 Easter egg hunts this year and he knew how to get the job done!

In Mantua Saturday morning before Easter. We had breakfast with the family and then went next door to the city's hunt.
He got so much we asked him if he wanted to share and he ran around finding kids to share with. (He had just given one to that lady's grandson.) We were pretty proud. Back at the house he kept handing out candy to the family, too.

Matt's childhood home.
Later we met all the Nelsons at a park in Perry for a picnic and... another egg hunt!
Covey looooved the playground here and it was so nice to see the view of the new Brigham City temple.

Rachel and Covey are off! (There's almost a 2 year age difference here, can you tell?)

Then it was off to Papa Mike's to celebrate his birthday. Covey loves it there and makes sure to always get out "the bam bam" (uno attack).
Easter morning! The Bunny came!!

After finding all the eggs and his basket, we headed off to Farr West for my mom's Easter breakfast. It was delish! And the kids had a fun hunt for eggs worth money! Oh yeah, my kind of hunt.
We had to leave a little early because we got a message from our neighbors that our alarms were going off in our house. We got home and it was our CO2 alarms. We called the fire department and all was fine, just faulty alarms like all of our neighbors have. But it sure was fun for Covey! They gave him a fireman hat and he loved checking out the big engine and the ambulance. (The box he's holding was a chocolate bunny from his Easter basket.) Then we went to church. All in all a pretty exciting Easter!

Now we just wait for Finn's arrival! I've been having mild contractions and I'm a 2 and 80%. So it could be anytime! Or it could be 2 more weeks... who knows?! But we're busy getting ready and I just hope he's healthy and gets here safely! I can't wait to see what he's like and be taking care of a tiny baby again. And I'm most excited for that instant falling in love when you first see your baby. Sigh.

Why did you do this whole big post about Covey and only put pictures of this little man-child?? Sufficit to say I could not tell the difference between him and the 2 year difference cousin(I'm assuming she's two years older). How exciting he got to see the fire truck. Your weekend just kept getting better and better. So excited for the next little Nelson!

That Covey is one handsome devil. I love the Aggies jersey. I am glad he picked up the slack for the Meldrum kids whose parents were so lame that they did not participate in any egg hunts. Can't wait to see you guys!!
