Kayson's Big Day

Blogging has become somewhat tedious lately, we apologize for our lack of correspondence.
This is our best attempt at catching everyone up to the "goings-on" in our lives:

Kayson's Birthday Party
Pretty much the best time Covey has ever had. He was like a kid in a candy shop and a bull in a china shop all rolled into one....you know...a kid in a china shop. This party had everything a toddler could want: ball pits, balloons, and bubbles. The Larsons had this blowup ball pit that Covey just loved. (see below)

This is when we told Cov it was okay to rough house in the pit.

Covey wanted Kayson to play in the pit with him, but Kayson knew he had party hosting duties to perform, so he was torn.

After some persuasion, Kayson gave in. Right here he's wondering what Covey would do if he knew that he wasn't just renting the ball pit, but that he owned it.

Covey went nuts when the big kids got in the pit with him. I'm sure they didn't enjoy it as much, but he had the time of his life rolling around and bouncing with them.

At home in his element.

The Larsons had this bubble machine that caused quite the stir.

It was fun watching Covey trying to pop the bubbles with his invincible finger of mass destruction.

Welcome to the 21st Century
Lately we've had some trouble with technology in our home. The Internet stopped working for a couple of weeks, Julia's cellphone went on the fritz, and our camera bought the farm. Maybe grandpa was right about progress, it's for the hippies and astronauts.
Covey news
Covey has learned to clap and rub his hands together. He's gotten the hang of going down the stairs backwards, and has returned to his kissing skills. Lately he's had a nagging cough that keeps him from napping and sleeping well, so he's been a little grouchy. The Larsons were kind enough to let us borrow the ball pit (seen above) and that has helped make Covey's days go by easier. We're busy planning Cov's birthday party and hope it's as fun for him as Kayson's. Zurchers may be the party store, but someone needs to tell them we're in a recession.
Moving on UP
I (Matt) received word that I'm now number three on the wait list for the PA program at the U, so I moved up another two spots. The program starts in May, so it's gonna be close. Hopefully the three people ahead of me will catch on to this Hollywood acting fad and give up on their unrealistic dreams of being PAs.

Now that Covey has the capability to rub and clap he is ready to take it to the next level.......rubbing his belly while patting his head! I think you should also work on the phrase 'Vroom Vroom Party Starter' for his upcoming celebration. That is cool that Covey has a good friend to play with. I am sure they will always cherish their baby bromance.

What a fun party! But, knowing you guys, Covey's will be amazing!!! Wow, they are turning 1 :(

I'm am very proud of Jackson right now, he actually did something in the same time frame Covey did...Jackson has learned to clap his hands also! I'm going to be optimistic and bet you that we can do the pat the head and rub the belly before you can!!! LOL Happy birthday planning...

Wow. I'm suddenly feeling like a party planning loser. Luckily my kids don't know the difference--until next week, I guess! Try not to up the ante too much. Number 3! We'll keep praying for you.
