The Big Game

Hey, it's Matt. So last night was the Utah State vs. BYU game up in Logan, and I thought my experience was blog-worthy. My family and I showed up at 5:00 pm at the Spectrum and found 5,000+ students waiting to get into the game (there are only 4,500 seats for students). I've never seen anything like it, it was like black friday times a hundred. I don't use that analogy lightly, I chose to use it cause just like black friday when the doors opened at 6:00 everyone made a mad dash for the door!!! The seats filled up in 5 minutes and the remaining students pounded on the doors as they shut them out, just hoping for some charity. For an entire hour the students chanted and harassed BYU, it was hilarious. They had a ton of signs, some really funny, others just okay they can be seen here:

We won 71-61!!! That makes Utah State 6-3 in it's last 9 games against BYU. I didn't have much voice left afterwards, and my head hurt from all the noise, but it was worth it. It was sooooooooo stinkin' loud in there! I love going to these games with my dad and siblings, some of my fondest memories have come from these experiences. What joy it brings to hear the "winning team-losing team" (link below) chant at the end of a game, especially the byu game.

Killer post Matt. Those signs were awesome. I especially liked the one that said "there's no righteous like self-righteous".
