A NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER....and forget

On one of those warmer November days... so long ago.
Ahhh Saturday morning, watching some toons and wearing matching outfits!

Sorry for the inappropriateness, but I thought everyone would enjoy seeing how round Cov's tummy has gotten! After this photo shoot we took him to Walmart like this and saw about 30 other kids dressed the same way. (no not really)

Don't ever make Covey angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
Started eating pureed MEATS this month! (see picture above for the effects of meat on Covey) He likes 'em. They're not that bad, they just smell like soup.
"Breaking of the Bread" the day before Thanksgiving. (Traditional girl's night, making the stuffing.) My mom and Aunt Cristie.
My cousins Amy and Hailee and Amy's daughter Camree. I chopped the crap out of the celery.
Our first Thanksgiving Feast... the Meldrum side. My Dad with the two babies in the family, Covey and adorable little Lucy.
Just a portion of the clan. Matt, Me, Covey with his bottle, my sister Katie, niece Lucy, Grandma Meldrum, niece Ella, Katie's hub Kevin, cousin Brandon, niece Kaitlin, Dad, nephew Brock, and Aunt Jody and Uncle Jay who were visiting from Oklahoma. It was really good to see them, they're so genuinely nice and caring and really good examples to all of us.
At our second Thanksgiving feast, the Horspool side.
Covey just having a sit before dinner.
The Spread
Me, Mom and Sis
Black Friday shopping. We didn't do the early morning mayhem. Just went to the Gateway to clothes shop for our upcoming family pictures.
When this zombie's done with his milk, he's going to eat your brains.

Saturday, at Ogden's Christmas Parade. Matt froze his tuckus off!
Me and Mom...
Ogden Temple in the background, as well as some kind of lumberjack.
Covey wasn't sure why we were all standing around in the cold, but once the parade got going he seemed.......
Julia: "Matt what would you say Covey's reaction to the parade was?"
Matt: "Undaunted."
Oh, yes, he seemed undaunted.
That's a float in the background. Look at Cov... See what I mean? Undaunted.
After the parade, we went to my mom's house for scones and soup. YUM! My niece and cousin styling my cousin Hailee's hair. My other cousin, Tyler, texting the night away. How do you do that?
The best thing Grandma will see under her tree.
And that pretty much gets us up to speed. Other than the news that Matt did not get into the PA program. He's #8 on the wait list but we most likely won't find out if that'll get him in until the week before the semester starts in May. I think we'll take a few weeks off to let it all simmer down and then we'll have to start figuring out our next move. Do we just wait another year and apply again? Are we not meant for this and need to find an entirely different career? One thing's for sure, we can't keep doing X-rays for much longer.....but Gamma rays on the other hand....hmmmm.

Be sure to notice the post below as well or you'll never forgive yourself.

Great post! I am LOVIN' that round little belly! It reminds me of Hunter's cute little belly. Hmmm, by the way, who took that awesome picture of the Meldrum side? Oh, oh yeah, it was ME! :)

Julia - I am glad that you got to see my parents! (I miss those two) And that is awesome that Nick spent Thanksgiving with my brothers ... growing up, our family was always so far away from everybody that we didn't get to see you guys much - now, it looks like Emily + I are the only ones ruining the party out here alone on the East Coast ...

Hopefully one of these days, we'll all get together for another great Meldrum Family Reunion!!!
