This and That

I've got some catching up to do. So, first up is my first sewing project since a pillowcase in 7th grade TLC. My mom gave me a crash course with her sewing machine and Voilá! Here's Covey's new quilt...

Covey and I stayed home from Church on Father's Day because we were both a little sick. (Yup, Covey's first time being sick. He had a fever, but nothing some Tylenol couldn't bring down, and a little cough. He's good now, though, don't you worry.) So, anyway, this is what Matt saw when he got home...

Just Covey relaxing in the backyard while Mom read a book... (Twilight for the 4th time, if you were wondering.)

He's getting a little more tolerant of his swing. He'll stay in for about 20 minutes now...

This past weekend, we went with a group of our new awesome neighborhood friends to a cabin in Fairview (close to Manti). We had such a blast. They are all the nicest, funniest people ever. When we got there, Matt informed me that this town has a claim to fame. Their very small and old-person-run museum had an exact replica of the mammoth found there in the 1980s. I couldn't pass that up!

We met some new friends at the museum. Bud, Elma, and Shirl. They told us a brief history of Fairview before things got a little awkward and Matt tried to touch them...

Our crappy camera's attempt at a picture by a campfire. We had smores! And Covey just slept away inside. He was such a good boy the whole time. I lasted just long enough for a Daddy Longlegs to be spotted in my hair.

Man! Everyone there loved these hammock swings. I wish I could get some for our back patio. So relaxing!

Here's Covey with his new found friend, Katie. He was always so happy when she was holding him...

Here's the 3 moms, Brittany, me, and Emily. And the boys, Kayson, Cov, and Benjamin. (Remember when Covey's hair looked like that?)

The boys went golfing and the girls rode around in the carts. All three babies alternated between happy and sad. There was always one of them crying.

Matt was so nice to let me hit a few times for him. What a nice husband. I fooled everyone into thinking I was good with some lucky shots, but that didn't last long.

I hope we'll get to go back soon, it was a blast!

I know this is a forever long post, but here's some video footage for your Covey fix. (the first one's kinda long, sorry... I've got some funnier footage, but Matt wants to save that for a movie)

Covey's late night antics! Father's Day surprise!!

Too Cute! I am glad you guys had so much fun at the Cabin! Sounds like you had the greatest time! I am so impressed with Coveys quilt you seriously did so good on it, it is just perfect! Mitchell and Faye loved watching the videos of Covey...just like usual! That will be a great thing to have so we can see all the fun things Covey learns!
