Basketball games with dad at CSI.
I think the boys like the cheap popcorn more than the basketball, but it's about the only show in town.

Every morning these two played stuffed animals and got along so well.
This was the stuffed animal family photoshoot day.
Notice the backdrop, and the organization so that the taller animals are in back.
Another round of swim lessons.
Never fear people of Poolville, Captain Chlorine and Bleach Boy are here to save the day!
More playing in the snow. Covey tunneled out this snowball all by himself. The picture below shows it better. Finn just enjoyed getting inside of it and pretending he was the snowman.
That is Finn's first snowman made all by himself. He was so proud.
Finn read his first book!
In this scene the roles of Mr. Beakers and Purple Dinosaur will be played by two blind little boys.
More stuffed animal play. This is what the boys do best together.
Playing Starfall together.
After a lesson about mammals,
Finn colored this lion complete with milk coming out "for its babies". :)

Matt got our bedroom and bathroom painted.
"Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon colored walls?"
Not anymore!

Finn wrote me this sweet note "You are the best mom". This means a lot coming from this little hot tempered, stubborn child! He can also be so sweet and loving when he wants to be.
This fun night found us introducing the boys to MC Hammer. They were fans!
Finn became "Jack Smith, the greatest warrior" during school this day. It sure made practicing his numbers a lot more exciting.
Learning chess
A little book session before bed.
A week before my due date. I thought I should get one belly shot.
Grandma Lori came to await Nayvie's arrival.
Day of my due date! Decided to take a long walk along the gorge to help things along.
And it worked!
01/26/16
At 1:30 a.m. my water broke. Contractions started on the way to the hospital at 2:00 a.m.
We walked the halls of the hospital for a couple hours. I spent about 40 minutes in the shower with hot water on my back.
Dad is starting to realize what natural birth entails.
By 7:00 a.m. I was breaking out in a sweat. I was starting to cry and really regretting my decision to go natural. Matt on the other hand is quite comfortable.
I was oblivious to everything as I tried to recover from the feeling of being ripped in half, but Matt says the first sound she made was cooing. After the doctor handled her a bit she started crying and as soon as she was layed on me she stopped. The boys did the same thing. That is such a sweet thing. Nayvie and I stared at each other for several minutes.
8 lbs 2 oz, 21" long, healthy, perfect and looking a lot like Covey!
Proud Papa
Mom and Daughter time.
Holding baby sister for the first time!
From the very start, Covey has always been very tender with Nayvie.
With Grandma Lori
In his Big Brother shirt. Good call, Grandma. And Milo and Cheetah had to come meet Nayvie, too.
Meet the new and improved Nelsons!
Don't look at my face. Look at that sweet baby's!
She reminded us so much of Covey as a newborn.
An inseparable duo from the start.
Day 2
Ready to go home!
"Do you have anything in a smaller size?"
"Don't you even think about squeezing my cheeks."
Smiling in her sleep.
Crying in her sleep.
Quick photo shoot with Grandma.
Aunt Katie and Kaitlin came up to meet her.
Mmmmm. These days could've lasted forever and I would have been so happy. Nothing better than cuddling all day with your newborn.
There is something extra special about having a girl. We are so blessed to have her! And she was a perfect newborn, eating and sleeping so well. A little angel that we all love so much!
