Thanksgiving 2012

In November, we went to Disney on Ice for the first time. It was a little bittersweet because Mom was supposed to go with me and Covey, but Matt got off work and it was fun to be all together as a family. It wasn't quite the big production we were expecting but Covey loved it and we all had fun. (Finn is not drugged...)

Lots of people had bought these spinning light toys and were using them in the stands when the lights were turned down and Finn was mesmerized!

After a month of trying out solid food, it was still very much experimental. This was his messiest face ever.

I spent a lot of my time here this month to be with Mom!

Covey calls this game "Tug-o-War"...

Thanksgiving started out with a visit to Mom at her new location at the University Hospital's rehab. She loved seeing the boys and insisted on holding Finn again even though he really wanted to get her feeding tube! Oh, so nerve-wracking!!

We brought her a plate of  "thanksgiving-y" foods which she kept feeding to him even after we told her he wasn't eating pie yet she kept forgetting. Lucky boy. That was one solid food he didn't have a problem with!

She wanted to take a picture of us...

Then to Aunt Cristie's to eat. Covey and Matt spent their time in Lego Land.

Finn had everyone's attention again. I hardly saw him the whole time! :)

That weekend was our traditional Christmas parade in Ogden. Bitter again without Mom, but sweet because it wasn't freezing like it normally is.

Katie Kat, sister extraordinaire.

Then, to Cristie's for soup and scones. Mmmmm.

Kids were getting a little stir crazy. Luckily, Matt always has "Red Light, Green Light" in his back pocket!
