Labor Day-Present

When we were leaving the Labor Day picnic, Covey ran after Grandpa Mike, not wanting to leave him. So, he came in the car with us and we went to hang out at his house.

During Thomas's last stay with us. They did this totally spontaneously. Covey loved having him here. He called him "Mossy" and laughed at everything he did. ...aaaand loved to play in his water dish.
The dog and the boy regarded each other.

Wheeler Farm! (Take 2) Covey spots an old college buddy.

Many of you may not see Covey's sad face very often, so here you go, slobber and all. Cutest sad face you've ever seen. (He fell down.)

Covey saw this piece of the tractor and kept saying "Mickey. Mickey."

A new reading spot... apparently. No, he was not being punished.

In our spot for the Circus Parade. Covey's constantly nursing those molars. I noticed two new ones on the bottom this morning (that makes 4).

Eating lunch while waiting for the parade to start.

Here they come!

Unfortunately, Covey was a little weirded out. Maybe if they had started out with the elephants instead of the freaks, he would've felt differently. I take human rights seriously you know. Everybody's equal: color, creed, or circumstance. We're all the same on this planet.....except the Chinese.

Dwarf horses.

The piéce de résistance. Holding tails with trunks and everything.

His reaction when it was over. Interpret at will.

Oh, and he had his 18 month Dr. apt on the 13th. He got his last shots until kindergarten! That was awesome. He has crossed over into the upper range for weight for the first time. He's 60th percentile now. And he's holding on to his lead height-wise with a respectable 85th %.

As always, very funny. Where/when is the circus parade? It sounds like fun, even though Covey is not much of a fan;)

Tracy, it was yesterday. It sounds like they do it every year before the circus starts (it starts today). So, next year you'll have to go. It's at the Gateway.

I would check yourself before you wreck yourself. Although small in stature they're large in numbers (you know, the Chinese). I bet Covey picked up on that slobber thing from Thomas.
