SIX WEEKS OLD

Covey is six weeks old today and Matt and I wanted to make a special post for him.

He has brought so much meaning and joy into our lives. He is the best thing that has ever happened to us. I love spending each and every day with him. On the rare occasion that we get out of the house to go do something or spend time with family, I think I'll be happy to be doing something different, but instead I get sad, missing our special alone time together. He is such a good baby!

I love that he snorts when he cries. I love the way he works his tongue in and out of his mouth. I love the way he always has his hands over his eyes, ears or under his chin. I love his deep little squawk and the cry he had when he was brand new that sounded like "mama". I love that he sleeps in his bassinet and knows his nights from his days. I love his facial expressions, especially the one where he purses his lips in tight and opens his eyes up big. I love love love when he smiles. I love his blue eyes, dark hair, and big, soft feet. I love cuddling with him (even though I sometimes catch myself rocking back and forth when I'm not even holding him!) And even though it makes it hard to get anything else done, I love that he feels more comfortable and safe being in my arms than anywhere else.

Six weeks ago was the happiest day of my life. It's incredible how much meaning and purpose my life has now. I thought it did before, but it doesn't even compare. The rest of my life I'll be Covey's mom! I am amazed and eternally grateful that Heavenly Father reserved one of his most special sons for us, who have done nothing to merit such an incredible blessing.

Covey Bear, we love you more than you'll ever know and will forever.

It is so good that you can remember all of those precious moments that are so easy to forget, make sure to write them all down somewhere...I started really good with Maddie, and had good intentions...but you know. E for effort right??? He is the sweetest little guy, and I am so glad you are loving being a mom, he is very lucky... we always knew you would both be great!!

Oh and I loved your video...it was very sweet, and it is definitely the camera, not the photographer... I love it I would recommend one, I wish I would have gotten it sooner...it is just taking a while to figure it all out. It makes a lot of difference with how many mega pixels you have and all that technical computer jargin...it is a lot of fun!

Man I love that Cubbie has a birthday celebration every other week. He deserves it. I think he should move to Texas too.

Mitchell is feeling a little left out..with this new baby! Nick says it is like he is the older brother. Why You Ask? Well this morning Mitchell told us he wanted to take a video and put it on Matt and JuJu's blog so they would see it. We said we could put it on our blog and you guys would see it, but that wasn't good enough...he wanted it on your blog! Too Funny! I am pretty sure he has forgotten about it by now! I just had to tell you, it was too funny!
